Located in Cairns, Tusa Dive is situated right on the gateway to Australia's World Heritage listed Great Barrier Reef. Locals Christopher Eade and Philip Hobbs run Tusa Dive, so you will have much of the local knowledge passed on during your Tusa Dive experience. Tusa began in 1986 with one small vessel taking divers to explore the Outer Reef, and a commitment to providing a superior dive experience. Today Tusa Dive operates two 22 metre custom built day trip dive vessel, and the 37 metre luxury live aboard vessel, Spirit of Freedom.

This four day PADI International Learn to Dive Course is comprised of two days pool and theory training at Pro Dive Cairns' modern training facility, followed by 2 one day trips on the Tusa Dive vessels, to the Great Barrier Reef. It is a land based course, where you are returned to the comforts of your hotel each night, while still experiencing the best of the outer reef sites.
The course includes:Min age is 12, dive medical clearance, and the ability to swim. Commences every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. German courses start Tuesday and Friday.
If you have already completed the pool and theory component of your PADI course, you can take your open water training dives with Tusa Dive to complete your dive qualifications. Your Tusa Dive Referral course commences Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday.
Your will need to bring:Tusa Dive also offers Exclusive Dive Charters to the Great Barrier Reef and the Coral Sea, off Australia's coast. MV Tusa IV is a custom built dive craft available for private charter to diving destinations along Australia's far north eastern coast. Leading dive operator Tusa Dive combine their local professional expertise, experienced crew, and superior dive vessel to customise a dive charter to suit the special requirements of your dive group. MV Tusa IV accommodates up to 14 passengers in double, twin and 4 share air conditioned cabins. The 22 metre State of the Art vessel has a cruise speed of 20 knots accessing the Coral Sea and Cod Hole in under 8 hours. Charter rates are available on application.
Your charter includesAll meals are chef prepared. Experience Australian cuisine at its best: back deck barbecues, freshly caught fish. Special diets can be catered to on request.
Onboard activitiesWhen not diving there is opportunity for hand line fishing, paddle boarding, and snorkeling. Tusa Dive also has a small library of resource books, board games and a selection of movies to watch.
