World Heritage Fraser Island is situated just off the coast of southern Queensland, just a short drive from Brisbane. Take the day to explore this marvel of nature where stunning, lush rainforest grows out of nothing but sand, where the beaches stretch on forever and fresh water lakes are casually scattered throughout the island.
Travelling north from Brisbane pass the Glass House Mountains, inland from the Sunshine Coast. Cross the Noosa river via cable ferry crossing taking you deep into the Cooloola National Park and highlighting the Teewah or Rainbow Beach coloured sands before stopping for morning tea on the beach.
After a short barge trip over to Fraser Island travel along 75 mile Beach before heading to Central Station or Pile Valley for a guided rainforest walk.
An Aussie BBQ lunch with beverages will be served, followed by a refreshing swim in either Lake McKenzie or Lake Birrabeen.
Return back to through the forests of Satinay and Brushbox down the sandy highway enjoying an afternoon tea stop on a remote beach before returning to Noosa.
